Who brings out the best in me?
Well…that’s a tough one.
I have several “best” sides…hahaha. My husband brings out the carefree, goofy, optimistic me. I think that’s why I married him! 😉 I think I bring out the best in him as well! I’ve known him for about 6 years and we’ve been together for 3 years.
My Mom brings out a similar side of me. We are always goofing off and finding things to laugh about. She makes me smile, gives me advice, and helps make me a better person–even in adulthood. I’ve known my mother since the day I was born!
Another person that brings out one of my “best” sides is my best friend, Emily. She moved away a while ago to learn how to be a dentist. I hope and pray with all of my heart that she moves back home when she finishes school. Emily makes me smile, laugh so hard you want to pee your pants, act goofy, talk endlessly about life, and constantly grow into a wiser person. I’ve known her for as long as I can remember–she was my Great Grandma‘s next door neighbor. We grew up together.
This list would not be complete without the mention of my daughters! Although they do not always bring out the best in me, they have their moments. We love to talk, be silly, be artistic and crafty, go play outside, and read together. The bring out one of the best parts of me–the mother in me.
I love MY kids. I have two beautiful girls who mean the world to me. One day we may try for a boy but for now two girls is enough!
Unfortunately I cannot say the same for everyone else’s kids. Some kids you come across are so rude and disrespectful.
When I worked in a restaurant a few years ago I experienced some interesting parenting choices. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t judge how other people raise their kids. But I prefer to teach my kids respect, responsibility, integrity, and manners. Other children I have seen in public places treat their parents with complete disrespect. However not all kids are like this. I have also observed some of the sweetest children in public. It all depends on what they are taught and how they are raised.
So of course I love kids–MY kids. That’s because I’m teaching them how to be good, responsible, polite, and respectful people.
Do you love kids? Have you experienced rude kids at your place of work or in public?

We’ve all heard it: reduce, reuse, recycle. How many people actually act on it? Not many. This inspirational story makes me feel like finding more ways to reuse and recycle.
What an amazing story! We could all take a page out of this incredible family’s book. This family is determined to find ways to re-use trash, such as plastic bottles, for building structures.
It is absolutely amazing! You have to see this video to really appreciate what these people are doing: BBC News – Argentine man makes house from plastic bottles.
Check out some of the great articles below to learn about more ways people have reused plastic bottles and other “trash” items.
