Virginia Seismic Zones

Okay, okay, okay. The questions just keep on coming! Why Virginia? How can we possibly have earthquakes here, we are no where near the edge of a tectonic plate, right? Wrong. There are active fault lines riddled throughout the state, especially in the active seismic zones of Virginia. In fact, there are two active zones, one in central Virginia and one that is closer to the West Virginia border.
